Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product at a great price It works great. I mixed 1 oz. per gallon of water in a 25 gallon pull behind sprayer. I sprayed over several acres of lawn in the evenings when it wasn't too hot. Now 2 weeks later I still haven't needed to cut grass. Grass is still green but a little stunted. Dandelions and clover are toast. I will probably buy again in the fall. I wish I would have sprayed a few weeks earlier this season

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dandilions stood no chance to this! I put this down on 2 acres and within 3 days the dandilions were very wilted. It kept them away for 3 months! I will apply again for sure!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really kills the weeds I use this for weeds around my beds. Seems to work fast and effect

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good overall product Fist time I used it I didn't think it worked. Unlike crossbow or Roundup you don't get a quick browning and burndown of the weeds. But it's safe for most lawns and near shrubs and plants when applied correctly. Just watch the nozzle drop size to avoid misting drift. .The Dandelions and Clover will be the first to react, with a twisting of the leaves and stalks usually within 24 hrs. After a week or so the more hardy weeds will begin to wilt, but its a slow acting herbicide. .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! It didn't work at all. I put even 5 tablespoons for 1 gallon but still didn't work. Note: there was no rain within 24 hours after I applied. I picked this item in-store Tractor's Supply--so it was definitely authentic. All my weeds are still thriving!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the rest Not all 2,4 ds are created equal. I've used couple other brands before. Don't know what it is about this stuff, but it does the trick. Sprayed lawn, killed everything except for grass. Make sure you do it when the ground is dry, and no rain for a couple days. Hot days would be ideal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job it says it does. Kills my clover. Takes a while, maybe a couple of weeks, for it all to vanish but it will get there... just be patient. Best time to apply is morning with dew on the ground. Add some baby shampoo to the mix so it will adhere to plant leaves. One gallon usually last me 2 years with periodic spot treatment for my 1 acre. Kills my broadleaf weeds as well. Same thing, just takes a while but it will kill it. IAt least i works for cool season grasses this way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as advertised Bought this to kill the clover that was taking over my yard. Mixed as directed and it worked great.
Date published: 2017-08-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Well if Applied Correctly Watch weather report before use and look for several sunny days in a row. This chemical blocks photo-synthesis and a 1% solution did the job. The really tough weeds seemed unfazed and then suddenly died three weeks later. Grass is green and thick without the competition.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a weed dead anywhere Usually have great success with TSC and Gordon's but this did not kill anything! Back to Trimec

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used this on my lawn Last year my lawn got out of control, way too many weeds to control and I was so embarrassed. I sprayed once this spring and now I have an amazingly green weed free lawn. It took about a week for the weeds to die and grass to grow in. I was so happy with how little product you need in order to make an impact. I would love to rate this higher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I use this every year in my pull behind 20 gal sprayer on the 4 acres I mow around my house. I use it also to spot spray in the areas I can't get to with the big sprayer. This product works great to kill all the weeds listed on the bottle but like others have noted to kill the clover you need to go back with and spot spray with a heavier mixture. I usually use about 20 oz for 20 gal to do general spraying and the clover will lay over and then come back to life in a week or so unless you go a little stronger in those areas or sometimes it just helps to slow your speed down on the heavy clover areas.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for lawns. My neighbor and I used this in late spring in a tow behind 30 gallon tank sprayer. 1oz per gallon worked well on all broad leaf weeds except clover. Clover came back with a vengence. Hit the clover again with a double mix and that did the trick. Since the clover was in colonies I was able to hit them with a backpack sprayer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dandelions withering the next day After we spray our lawn the dandelions are falling over the next day. We mix 1-2 tsp for our 2 gal sprayer and manually walk the yard (we have 5 acres so it takes a while, but we don't want to invest in a larger sprayer). I'm amazed at how much you dilute this product and it still works GREAT!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Professional lawn care company uses this Professional lawn care operator here. We've maintained over the years that this product has been one of the secret to our profits. It's one of (if not the) cheapest 2-4-d product on the market and it does a really good job. We use this product in the spring and fall to blanket spray our yards and it has literally saved us thousands of dollars over the years. A couple of things I've noted over the years to be aware of. 1. It does not kill really tough broadleaf weeds like woodsorrell, dollarweed or wild violet. Although for common broadleaf weeds like dandelions, clover, henbit, chickweed, etc. it does a great job. The label tells you which weeds it will kill and for the most part this has been right on. What we have started doing is noting which weeds the product doesn't kill and using a backpack sprayer with a stronger herbicide to spray those. 2. Although it does kill weeds in the wintertime it will not kill them as quickly as some of the other 2-4-D products on the market. So, if you are a professional and your customers want to see weeds die away quickly I would recommend using a stronger product when temps are below 50. Or, if you are confident in what you are doing, mix it half and half with a stronger 2-4-D product. This works well, too.   We typically mix 3/4 -1.25 oz per gallon in our 200 gallon tank sprayers. The amount depends upon the season. In the spring and summer when weeds are growing quickly and the temperatures are in the 70s and 80s we put 1 oz per gallon. In the summer when temperatures are in the 90s we drop it down to 3/4 oz to prevent stress to the turf. In the fall and early winter when weeds have slowed down and temperatures are in the 50s and 60s we put 1.25oz per gallon.  Overall great product. We highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Weed Killer I was not sure which product to buy to kill weed in my lawn. I purchased a sprayer for my atv and was ready to kill some weeds. This product did a nice job taking the dandy lions out. In 24 hours they were all curled up and it killed all of them! Worked great for what I was trying to do. I've bought scotts lawn fertilizer in the past and it works great, but it is much more expensive than 1 gal. of Amine400 and I only used about 1/4 of a gallon(approx. 1/2 acre), I'll have plenty left over for future treatments.

will this product kill clover?

Asked by: bwayne9999
Amine 400 does not do a very good job on clover. I would recommend our Pasture Pro Herbicide for use in the pasture. If it is for home lawn use, I would recommend our Trimec Lawn Weed Killer.

Does it kill creeping charlie or virginia creeper

Asked by: ken 79
Amine 400 does a good job on weeds like dandelion and thistle but may not be the best choice for creeping charlie. Brush Killer for Large Property would do a better job and will not harm the grass. A fall application would be the best time for controlling weeds like creeping charlie.

I bought the Gordon Amine 400 early spring of last year and only used about 1/3 of the gallon. How long will it last and still be effective.

The Amine 400 has no expiration date. If stored properly it will last up to 10-15 years no problem.
