Q: Can this insert be installed in an existing fireplace opening? The damper would be locked in the closed position. The insert would be installed with a vent in a lower and upper wall from an adjacent room. My house is extremely dry. I need the humidity.

This is a great unit. Works as expected. Plenty of heat output. Unit looks very nice. I have it 5 stars for the price that was paid. If you look around at inserts like this it become clear that this unit is decent but not high end. Doors are a little flimsy, but its functionality is perfect. The next step up from here is about double this price and more. So keep that in mind. There is not really anything between this and that jump. I couldn’t justify the price jump for a Napoleon or another brand like that. This unit gets the job done, and looks great. I added the fan option and I would recommend that. Unfortunately Tractor Supply didn’t sell that at the time of my purchase.

The fireplace hasn't worked properly from day one , I havent been able to get it resolved through customer service of the maker of the fireplace. almost impossible to contact them.I will not purchase from your company again. I even spent then extra on service plan.
