Honest review, a great vehicle but….

Overall a great vehicle, I’m 6’ and it’s comfortable to operate. The quality is great for the cost, it’s not a 20k machine so for the value it’s a good work vehicle. Definitely is powerful and runs great, the suspension is top notch as well as adjustable in the rear. The gas tank is all metal and has a good size under seat storage compartment. There are seatbelts included. The included winch, windshield, side mirrors, headlights/taillights (LED) with turn signals, horn, and dump body is a plus. For an honest review I’ll say the negatives are: My biggest complaint is that it’s a LOUD machine. I did purchase the Kolpin exhaust baffle but the majority of the noise comes from the engine. The transmission is tricky at times when engaging it into park. You have to shift it back to either H or L and then back to park for it to fully engage sometimes. When the 4x4 is engaged the steering becomes difficult. The lack of accessories… I purchased the Kolpin Switchblade UTV plow, but there is no ability to get side doors for this model. I did purchase a rearview mirror, that would’ve been nice to have from day one. A full enclosure is available but it looks awful, and for now all the supplier offers is side nets. Online I did find a rear window enclosure that fit perfect, surprisingly for an aftermarket add-on. All and all it’s a great vehicle, and again for the cost it’s worth the purchase. Definitely a fun vehicle to drive for both property work and family pleasure. If you’re thinking of it, I say get you one! Attached is photos of my current Bighorn with light upgrades and rear enclosure.

This vehicle is loud, far too loud. You cannot converse in the vehicle with the engine running. The steering was sloppy and the brakes were too hard to apply. They did not have a local service center.

STAY AWAY! THESE WILL CAUSE YOU NIGHTMARES!

We really wanted to like this. In fact, we did - at first. However, less than a year old and with only 22 hours on it, it died. To be told this is a common problem with them that there is an starter issues that Bighorn knows about, and has been going on for years, but they continue to build them with the bad starters - what - are they using up the shipping container and hoping these die after the warranty runs out? Issue number 2, yes, it was covered under the warranty, but, there are so few places that will work on these, so we had to trailer it two hours to a mechanic. They had it for 3 weeks, gave it back, and messed with the front hood and didn’t relatch it so it blew off goign down the highway! Of course, they tried to blame it on us. SO, Bighorn is willing to replace the hood, but it’s back ordered. Depending on who you talk to, anywhere from 6 weeks to 8 month! And, because all the electrical is under the hood, you can’t use it. We are close to 2 months down and we are paying for it on our credit card each month. Bighorn says they are going to make it right, and they will call us back. But they never do. On top of this fiasco, the repair shop did a very bad job. To fix this issue, they have to take apart the exhaust and some engine parts. So I get it back twice as loud as it was when they got it, the exhaust rattles, and the entire machine shakes like crazy and there is this weird knocking noise at idle. Oh, and it take 2 or 3 times for it to start and stay running, and anything over 3 MPH causes the shake, rattle and roll to go crazy. And, now it also has no power. Like I said, the repair place says it’s my fault - yeah - right - Bighorn is doing nothing despite promises, and I just want my money back. Oh, on top of this, I was told by one of the name brand sellers of UTV’s that thesse have ‘no value’ as they are not listed on JD Power. Wel,, there you go. Don’t waste your money. There is a reason these are cheap.
