    Our Partnership

Tractor Supply proudly began our partnership with 4-H in 2010 and we have since helped raise over $14 million through our Paper Clover fundraisers. The success of these campaigns has impacted over 69,000 students by providing them with hands-on learning experiences through projects in STEM, agriculture, healthy living, and civic engagement.

100% of funds raised through our two Paper Clover fundraisers directly benefit 4-H and the kids and teens they work with - 90% of donations directly support 4-H youth in the state it was raised, and the remaining 10% supports national 4-H programming.

    Success Stories

    David Banks

    State/County: Texas, Brazos County

Through the support of Tractor Supply Company's 4-H Paper Clover campaign, Devin was able to attend the National 4-H Conference in Washington D.C./Chevy Chase, Maryland in spring of 2019 as part of a delegation that represented the state of Texas. While there, he participated in a series of youth-led discussions which gave Devin the chance to speak with members of the House of Representatives on challenges faced in agriculture. Upon his return to Texas, Devin was invited as a guest speaker during a morning segment on a local televised talk show about his experience at the National 4-H Conference!

Devin exemplifies great leadership skills, character and integrity. In addition to his involvement with 4-H, he is an outstanding student, plays on the high school football team and works a part-time job. He also is a member of the senior robotics team that competes on local, district and state levels.

Devin looks forward to more leadership opportunities within 4-H, and since the National 4-H Conference has applied to be on the 2020 National Youth Leadership team so he can return to help encourage more youth to be active in their communities.

    Kelsey Lattin

    State/County: Texas, Fort Bend County

Tractor Supply Company's Partnership with 4-H has benefited the Cooperative Extension Program in Fort Bend County through supporting limited-resource youth with an opportunity to build confidence, learn interpersonal skills and much more. In Fort Bend County, 4-H'er Kelsey Lattin has become a leader to her peers while overcoming many of life's obstacles.

Kelsey is the daughter of Yolanda Jones, a single mother whose goal is to raise a daughter that can make the best, better. Kelsey holds a well-established grade point average and balances a number of extracurricular activities — one of which is 4-H. She is currently a freshman in college majoring in Mass Communications with a 3.8 GPA.

As President of the Fort Bend Fresno 4-H Club, Kelsey is leader and a true team player. She spends her time delegating fundraisers, community service projects and competitions with her club members. Her competitive spirit drives her to work hard and seek out opportunities to participate in several 4-H competitions. It's no surprise that Kelsey has found success in these competitions, placing in the 4-H county, district and state levels on her educational presentations and poetry. Kelsey also has experience competing in "Duds to Dazzle," through which she exhibits her merit in communication, leadership and decision-making skills.

This year, Kelsey attended the Texas State Round-Up as a member of the Tech Team. As part of this team, she spent time interviewing other competitors, editing videos and working with top-of-the-line technology software, making her time with the Texas Round-Up Tech Team another important experience for Kelsey.

    Soren Hottensmith

    State: Ohio

For the last two years, Soren has spent much of his free time volunteering at Tractor Supply and gathering donations for 4-H in Ravenna, Ohio. 4-H is one of the highlights of Soren's life, so he was exciting to be presented with yet another 4-H opportunity when his county worked closely with 4-H and, using a portion of the funds they raised from the Tractor Supply donations, sent him and his brother to Camp Canopy!

Camp Canopy is located at Camp Muskingum and emphasizes education in forestry and natural resources — topics that aren't entirely new to Soren. His family is active and spends a lot of time outside, and have traveled to many state and national parks across the country. Soren's family also has friends who work in fields similar to those the camp focuses on. During his time at camp, however, Soren's understanding of wildlife management, wood production and dendrology was expanded. He especially enjoyed his time in silviculture class. At camp's conclusion, campers were asked to take a test that covered the many things they learned during their time there. Soren tested very well and scored 5th overall, and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship to the Ohio University!

Soren hopes to pursue a career in forest resource management, or something in a similar field. He thanks 4-H and Camp Canopy for establishing and strengthening his interests and passion for the outdoors.
