It allows for the contraction and expansion olin the temperatures of winter and summer. We have far less snapping/breaking of high tinsel.

I used 40 plus of these large fence tension spring and they are working great. I use one on each high tensile wire to maintain the proper 200 - 250 pounds. Tractor Supply shipped them fast to their store at no cost to me.
