Bombproof Extreme Performance

I purchased this cooler for an eight day camping trip in Glacier National Park where we planned on cooking a full breakfast and dinner daily - eggs, bacon, sausage, steaks, hamburgers, etc. I purchased seven 48 oz Nalgene water bottles, filled to 75% and froze. I layered the bottom of the cooler with the water bottles and topped with two large Yeti Sheet Ice, added ice, added partially pre-frozen meat and topped with ice. I placed the butter, cheese and eggs in the basket and topped with ice. I included a bluetooth thermometer to track the temperature. For the next six days, the cooler stayed at 35-38F even with opening the cooler in the morning and evening when cooking meals. I topped with two lbs of ice on day six and the temperature maintained until I unloaded the cooler on day nine. The Nalgene bottles were still partially frozen! I am very impressed with this cooler and am happy that I purchased it. I own two soft-side (backpack and tote) and two hardside Roadie Yeti coolers but much smaller. This cooler required two people to load/unload in and out of the back of my Tacoma but was manageable to move by myself within the bed of the cooler even with the sticky feet. The cooler was stored under a Diamondback cover.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Disappointed, to say the least!

We purchased this product because of Yeti's strong reputation, and we were really excited to try it out during our camping trip this past weekend. We anticipated it keeping our food and drinks chilled, however, our enthusiasm quickly turned to disappointment. On the first day, we noticed that most of the ice had melted despite making sure to securely close the lid each time. We wondered if the type of ice we had chosen might be the problem, so we decided to fill the cooler to the brim with fresh ice. However, by next day, not even 24 hours later and it being in a shaded area, most of the ice had melted once again. When I say "melted," I mean it had turned into mostly water, which was extremely upsetting. Most of our food became waterlogged, and some even spoiled. It was incredibly frustrating to see our carefully prepared snacks turned into a soggy mess. Looking back, I couldn’t help but feel let down, especially since we had previously experienced better results with a simple, inexpensive Coleman cooler from Walmart. Ultimately, I will be returning this Yeti cooler and regrettably, I won’t be considering Yeti products in the future.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Exactly as pictured, love the color. Keeps everything cold and ice lasts days. We use this on our boat and in the heat of Arizona.

Yes, I recommend this product.
