- A: Hi, Here is the information we received back from the vendor- "Our oil is a very good engine oil however it is not a compressor oil. I would suggest you buy an oil specifically sold for air compressors. Unless you are talking about the engine crankcase oil that drives an air compressor. - A: This oil is already very balanced with anti-wear, detergent/dispersant and antioxidant additives so we’d suggest refraining from using oil additives as they’re simply going to throw off those levels of additive and really no additional properties are required for this product’s named use applications.4 years agoHelpful?

Seems like a good oil

I used this oil when I changed an associate's hypertough push mower, thus far the oil seems good, this was the first time I have ever used the VP brand, it is a bit pricey, but I think it will work out great.
