The Tuf-Tug Web Strap Puller has a large ratchet diameter with a high tooth count to permit accurate positioning of loads. The dual ratchet drive mechanism is designed for lasting durability in electrical utility work, construction, and industrial maintenance/repair operations. This puller is heat treated, drop forged, zinc plated, and corrosion resistant, the safety-latched hooks rotate 360°. The web-strap is nonconductive when clean and dry.

Q: Does this system operate in forward and reverse. In other words, if I need to lower a load will it free wheel? I need the winch to be able to lift and lower under load.

An inexpensive puller with some issues

This unit pulls alright but the reverse/release mechanisms are hard and potentially dangerous to use. More expensive pullers have a much better design in that area. For that reason, I wouldn't try lifting anything heavy with it. You'd have a very hard time releasing/reversing the mechanism when under strain. For pulling small loads over the ground, it works ok, just watch your fingers when releasing & reversing. The woven strap spools better than a cable.

I bought this strap to get my zero turn mower unstuck of the mud I drove it into worked like a charm and now I have for future use
