Poor quality

Do not get this mower if you have anything except a FLAT yard. “Self-propelled” is a joke, this thing spins out and doesn’t even come close to going up and down ditches. The tires are plastic and have zero grip, I expected way more for the amount I paid. What a waste of $500. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Poor Machine

Last year, another brand of mower died on me so I had to go out shopping for a new mower. It seemed like all the mowers on the market last year were front-wheel drive. So I decided to shop Tractor Supply as I figured I'd get a better piece of equipment from then as compared to their other local big box store competitors. I've been caring for my lawn for almost 30 years and this has to be one of the worst mowers I've ever purchased. It's advertised as self-propelled. But as soon as you hit even the slightest incline or slightly high grass, it becomes a push mower. The front wheels turn fine when elevated and I've turned the dial meant to improve the self propulsion of the front wheels. But this thing just doesn't have enough power for any type of incline. Within weeks of buying this mower, the safety flap on the back began falling off. So, I had to remove it completely. The discharge chute is constantly getting clogged no matter high or low and no matter how wet or dry the grass is. Recently though, its clogging has become a benefit. The chute itself has begun vibrating off as I mow so that the only thing holding it on is the clogged grass. The discharge chute for the bagger also tends to clog up leaving the bag only 1/4 - 1/2 full. Needless to say, this mower requires a lot of starting and stopping. It has likely doubled my time spent mowing and, given my yard size, that is quite a considerable amount of time lost.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great mower!

Love this mower. One of the best features is that the handle can be installed higher, so I don't have to stoop when I mow. I had a Troy-Bilt that needed to be replaced. Bought another brand. Big mistake. Will always stick with Troy-Bilt from now on.

Total pile of crap! DO NOT BUY!

Bought this pile of junk brand new, got it home and put together, put the oil in and pulled the string to attach it to the handle and the recoil would not work. Tried a few quick fixes with no success. It’s absolutely crazy how much these companies charge for these modern day piles of junk that they sell.

Bought this 5/7/25 today is 5/26/25. It’s already broken and I have to return it. The piece that you stick in the handle that pulls the wire so you can start the lawnmower broke. I now have to return it because for $455. I’m not going to jerry-rig the mower. Completely unacceptable it won’t let me add a pic to show you.

Great lawnmower

My TB230 lawn mower is about 8 years old and still does a great cutting job. My yard is a very hilly 1/2 acre and this mower is great. Best push mower I’ve owned in the past 50 years of lawn cutting. Always starts on the first pull, even after the winter. Hope they still have this model when it’s time to replace my lawn mower.

I recieved the mower in a box. After assembling the handle, I added the oil to the motor only to have all the oil leak out into my driveway through a hole in the bottom of the motor, now I have to try and figure out how to get it to a dealer. Not very happy at all

Disposable Lawnmower

I bought this lawnmower November 2024. Used it once and it worked great. After using it I removed remaining gas and stored in my garage. Recently got some rain in South Texas so filled the tank to mow my property. Lawnmower will not start. Removed the gas and refilled with fresh gas, Will not start. Checked and cleaned spark plug, will not start. Removed the fuel bowl. It was clean. Cleaned the fuel injector, reassembled it and new gas. Started on first pull, worked for 5 minutes and died. Will not start. Great lawnmower when it worked - one time. $500 way overpriced for a disposable lawnmower.
