Toro 30 in. 60 V Max Cordless eTimeMaster Personal Pace Auto-Drive Self-Propelled Lawn Mower with 2 x 10.0Ah Batteries

So, I have been a long time Toro consumer with my most recent being a Toro 60V MAX 22" Recycler with Personal Pace Lawn Mower that I have had since 2021. It's been great, not a single issue but I wanted to cut my mowing time down. I have had 3 different Toro 60-volt mowers over the years. I have been mulling over the 30" Toro for years but would never pull the trigger. This spring I decided to take a leap of faith and order it. I am so glad I did, this mower is SOLID and I am able to cut my .5-acre lot using the 2 10Ah batteries on Max and still have charge left. The weight of it is great and it doesn't leave strips of grass behind. I have no hesitation in recommending this mower, don't let the negative reviews sway your decision. Yes, the price is high but well worth it in my opinion. You get what you pay for.

The Toro eTimeMaster 60V MAX 30" Lawn Mower (with two 10.0Ah batteries) has been an outstanding performer in my experience. Whether operating in Auto or Max mode, it delivers impressive power and consistency, especially for weekly lawn maintenance. The battery life has exceeded my expectations, providing plenty of runtime to get the job done without interruption. There are a few areas where I think Toro could make an already great mower even better. I’d love to see a bit more torque so that the mower fills the bag completely to the back. Adding a Run-Stop feature—allowing the rear-wheel drive to operate independently of the blade—would be a great improvement for maneuverability between mowing sections. Additionally, front castors could help enhance turning capability and overall handling. Overall, this is a great mower that I’m truly thankful to have. Toro has done an excellent job creating a high-performing, battery-powered machine that makes lawn care efficient and enjoyable.

Lawnmower is only 14 months old and won't start. The biggest problem is that went bagging the grass, the grass kept clogging. Bag and clog has to be removed and cleared too often.

I bought this instead of a small riding mower because I have limited storage space. I've been very happy with the performance of the mower. My only complaint is that the battery doesn't always last long enough, so I'll need to do my front and back lawns on separate days. I'd buy an extra battery for the mower, but they're quite expensive.

Having used the mower 20 times between last year and this year it is convenient. It runs quickly and cuts evenly and cleans up like a dream.

I purchased the mower in September 2023. After a year of use, the mower did not start. I took to a local dealer who replaced one of the control boards. It worked for about 5 minutes then stopped and would not restart. Returns back to the local dealer who fixed it again. Got back home and would not start again. Disappointing product. I want the gas powered version.

This has all the makings of a great mower out of the box - except for the stock blades. Build quality is good with steel deck and feels sturdy, as compared to other plastic deck battery mower brands. Mower is super quiet - got comments from the neighbors on first few runs. I like the personal pace drive after getting used to it. Unfortunately, I learned that to optimize battery life, the eTimemaster is stocked with lighter, inferior blades that are different than on the gas Timemaster. While they claim they are all purpose blades for mulching, bagging, and discharging, in truth they do none of these well. While mulching, left big clumps of grass on lawn and many uncut stragglers. And not high enough lift to bag or side discharge well. I was initially very frustrated that a mower at this price point had such poor cut quality out of the box. I experimented with different blades and found a much better cut with upgraded replacement blades, especially after I sharpened new blades. I got great bagging and side discharge performance with the Toro Hi Lift blades, and good mulching performance with Oregon G5 Gator blades. Both blades provided a much better cut than the stock blades. These are both heavier than the stock blades, so come at a bit of a cost of battery life. I don't quite get my full half acre done on the two batteries that came with the mower, so have ordered another 10Ah battery for the third slot. Overall I'm happy with the mower now, and the time-savings and cut quality is well above my old Ryobi 21" mower. If you're willing to invest the time to upgrade blades and money for an additional battery, then it may be for you, but that's a lot to add to a mower that starts at this price.

You will not end up saving time with this ambitious design because there will be so many clumps of grass leftover (I have zoysia) that didn't mulch or bag that you'll spend a longer time making sure those clumps are spread out. Tried to return within the week but couldn't.

Cheap like the orther Toro tools. Dont buy anything toro if you want strong long lasting equipment. Build with inferior soft metal that bends. Plastic parts on the mower are already breaking and the duel blades are constantly getting jambed.

I was super excited to order this mower, I have a big yard and the 30" cut path would reduce the mowing time a lot. It took 2 weeks to get the mower, not sure why the shipping process was so slow. It came out of New Mexico and made about 8 stops across the country to get to Ohio but made it in good shape. It was super easy to unbox and assemble, really just have to lift if the handle and I removed the mulch cover since I prefer to side discharge. When it was assembled, it felt a little flimsy and didn't really feel like a $2,200 piece of equipment. I charged the 2 10Ah batteries overnight which took longer then I expected and started my first cut the next day. 1. The mower starts easily and is relatively quiet. 2. I noticed while I was cutting the mower didn't throw the clipping very far so it created a line of clippings every other path that would take quite a while to decompose compared my previous gas mower that dispersed them further. And this was with cutting dry grass. 3. I noticed while cutting that there were tons of uncut grass that were sticking up and very noticeable. The cut quality was really bad. My wife asked why it was so uneven looking, so I made sure the cut height was the same on the front and the back and it was the same. 4. I have some inclines in my lawn and noticed the mower doesn't self propel going up a hill...it basically turns into a push mower. 5. I continued to cut the lawn, got 1/2 the side done and 1/2 of the front done and then the batteries went dead and the mower stopped. I started at 5:20pm and they were dead at 6:02pm. Super disappointed. I have extra 7.5Ah battery (snowblower) and another 2.0Ah battery (edger) and had those charged and put them in. I was able to get about 20 more minutes until those died and I wasn't able to get the entire front or sides cut. So done for the day as the 2 included batteries were still charging....not sure how long it takes the included batteries to charge for 0-100 but it seamed like 5+ hours. 6. I resumed the next morning and started with the back...which was a bit damp. The mower clogged up almost immediately and I had to shut it off (can't keep in running and just turn off the blades) to unclog the side discharge. It happened continuously so I just stopped and got out my old gas Toro to finish the yard. Unfortunately, I have to return this mower. The main issues are the cut quality which is really bad and the battery life won't work for me. I am not prepared to spend another $800 plus for 2 more 10Ah batteries, which would push the price of this over $3,000 which is a lot especially given the suspect build quality.

I was totally disappointed with this mower. It was advertised as a great mower with all of the things you want to hear but the reality for me was that it did not bag grass correctly and I couldn"t mow my 70' x 100" lawn with the batteries having 3 out of the 4 bars of charge in them. I could not see myself having to deal with this for the life of the mower so I returned it. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Trash mower. DON'T BUY! the blades consistently hit each other

A little disappointed in the mower. On the auto mode the blades do not run fast enough to throw the cut grass in the bag. On the gas version when you engage the blades the bag immediately inflates. The bag never inflates with this one. Definitely a design flaw.

This is a very good mower. I love the 30 inch cut which makes my lawn look like a professional landscaping job. I have a good size yard and can get 2 cuts in before charging batteries. Of course nothing is perfect because it does take at lesst 3 hours to charge the battery individually. But I believe a faster charging system is available. But for my use a very good overall mower.

This is a great mower and I'm very pleased with it so far. It is very solidly built and gives a good cut, and it has cut my mowing time nearly in half. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the cost, which is way above that of a conventional electric mower. It was a perfect fit for my mowing needs, though, so I was willing to bite the bullet and pay the price for it.

Used the 30" mower for late fall mowing and leaf pick-up. Worked as expected. Battery life is perfect for my yard. The future is rechargeable!

Toro has no information on how many times you can charge the battery before it degrades or goes bad. They refused to selle an extended warranty on this unit saying not eligible which makes me wonder why and how good this product will last beyond the 3 year warranty. On the non 60v unit you can extend 2 years and on the battery operated nothing. Front wheel that are caster would help the design. Batteries are very expensive to replace.

With the 60v Timemaster are you still able to use a garden hose to clean the track while spinning the blades?

I purchased this battery powered lawnmower after owning 2 - 30” Time saver Gas lawnmowers I was Leary at first not ever owning a battery powered lawn lawnmower but it exceeded all my expectations!

This mower is so quite and easy to operate. I can cut my yard and still have enough battery to cut about 3/4 of the lawn the next time.

Have had less than a week but so far has lived up to all of the early reviews and industry accolades. Running two 10 aH batteries and double mowing (not necessary but I like the look) roughly 7,000 sf of lawn left roughly 25% charge in the two. Did use full power setting about 35 percent of that time so run time seems good. More time certainly is needed to truly review this mower but the quality of the cut, ease of use, and my previous experience with Toro gives me high hopes for a long product life.
