Lean forward on the handle to go faster, and let up to slow down. Whereas, on our traditional self-propelled mowers, you pull the self-propel-drive bar to the handle and hold it to engage the self-propel drive, and the maximum self-propel-drive speed is fixed. - A: Hi, there! Thanks for your question. For this model #21472, do not mix oil with gas. Non-Ethanol fuel is best. Use only clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Use fresh fuel less than 30 days old. To reduce starting problems, add fuel stabilizer to the fuel all season, mixing it with gasoline less than 30 days old. I really enjoy this mower. I don’t like the redesign of the self propelled handle. The old blue handle was better and more comfortable. I think this model needs a little more horsepower. I think my old self propelled (10 years) had more power, or perhaps the wheels on the old mower had a better grip.

I had to put my mower in the shop today after having it only one year,and the guarantee to start does not start.pull after pull,and no fire even with fresh gas and new plug.
