- A: Tenax Garden Fence is 100% plastic. We recommend reinforcing the bottom of your plastic fence with a wire mesh to protect from chewing rodents. You may also consider Tenax Hardware net. Q: are there special stakes that go with these, that are purchased separately? I have only found those at Gardener's Supply in the past. What is the best way to install this around raised bed?

Those mean and nasty Southern California rabbits were too much for this mesh fencing.
They chewed through it in 3 places.
I bought 3 rolls of this mesh to fence my vegetable garden. Total waste of time and money.
Don't buy this mesh to keep the rabbits out...it doesn't.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Armadillo prevention.

Seems that armadillos are in abundance around our area in E. Tx. this year. I have a yard full of holes to testify to that fact.
I am using this flexible fencing to keep them out of my small garden. I trenched a 1' wide area around the garden and using the flexibility of this fencing to put 1' of it flat on the ground and covering it up and then stood the other two feet of it up and affixed to metal stakes at 4 corners.
So far they have tried digging under it but the fencing buried in the soil around the garden is stopping them.
Works for me.
