Feeding directions are dependent on many factors, such as aquatic species, production systems, stocking rates, environmental conditions (water temperature and water quality). Careful consideration should be given to the amount and quantity applied to the water. InconsistentThe Trophy fish feed is a good product that my cat fish eat well. The only draw back that I have is it seems very inconsistent in how much sinks and how much floats. I have had bags that are around 15 - 20 % sink and bags that are around 60 -70 % sink. Also the float pellets sometimes will float for hours other times in has all sunk with in 90 minutes.

Pond FoodThe bream and turtles in my 1-1/2 acre pond love it. I like to shoot it a little father out with a fish food sling shot to see them come up and get it.
Is this feed good to bait out a area at the lake. If so how long do i bait out the area.
Asked by: Thomas77
This would depend on if you are looking to get a quick reaction or feed over time to have the fish attracted to an area to feed regularly and what type of fish you are trying to bait and how quickly you want to act. The Trophy Fish feed has plant proteins so it wouldn't be the best for carnivorous species that prefer animal proteins. You can't go wrong with natural bait such as worms, minnows, leaches, ect for quicker baiting. This fish food is really for long term feeding and is great for feeding catfish particularly. Depending on Lake size and where the fish are feeding the most, it can take time for them to realize another food source is available. The Trophy Fish is good for long term feeding and baiting but for quick baiting a natural bait would be best.

2: This product is not designed for nor tested on ducks.
3: This product should not change the ability to eat cat fish.

I see that it says Do Not over feed because it can deplete oxygen levels. How do you know if you're over feeding? If the pellets aren't consumed in 5-7 min?
Asked by: JPFF
Yes, that can be a sign that the fish are being overfed, however feeding directions are dependent on many factors.
