In addition, the added fertilizer thickens grass to crowd out future weeds and help prevent runoff. Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed & FeedF2 is for use on St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Centipedegrass, Zoysiagrass, and Carpetgrass only. Apply when grass and weeds are actively growing. We recommend using a Scotts spreader to apply this product. For Scotts broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 5 1/4. For Scotts drop spreaders, use a setting of 11. This product must be watered in immediately after application. Do not apply during winter dormancy period - wait until after the third mowing of the season to apply. Do not apply with a hand-held spreader. Homeowner’s essential!

Scott’s weed and feed is a homeowner’s essential. I use it twice a year in the Spring and early Fall. It’s not going to make your yard perfect and kill every weed, but it’s reasonably effective, especially if you don’t want to hire a lawn spraying service. Make sure you water in after applying as the directions say for best results.

My lifeless lawn is thriving!

I didn't realize how bad my lawn had gotten until I actually fixed it , and this made a huge difference. I used Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed & FeedF2 and within weeks my yard went from more than half weeds to almost all grass. The weeds started disappearing pretty quickly, especially things like clover and dollarweed that had basically taken over. What really impressed me though was how the grass filled back in. It didn't just kill the weeds-it helped my lawn come back thicker, greener, and way healthier looking overall. Now my yard looks full, lush, and actually maintained instead of patchy and overrun. It's that deep green color you want, not dull or stressed. I also like that it's simple to use spread it, water it in, and let it do its thing.

Dollar Weed Dilemma

I put the Bonus S down 1.5 weeks ago and still have a plethora of dollar weeds. So, I can't say I am satisfied with my purchase.
