Rutland Stove Thermometer, Burn Indicator
Use the Rutland Stove Thermometer/Burn Indicator. This convenient and easy-to-read magnetic thermometer attaches to any metal surface, including single-wall pipes and stoves, for a quick and easy way to monitor burn temperatures. In addition to seeing if the stove is operating at peak efficiency, the gauge will also indicate a low temperature that could be a result of dangerous creosote or soot build-up in the fire chamber or chimney. The burn indicator helps identify optimal operating temperatures for wood- and coal-burning stoves. Recommended placement is on a vertical, single-wall stove pipe no more than 6 inches above the stove surface. At a glance, the color-coded dial allows you to monitor burn conditions and adjust operation as needed.
