Reese Towpower Adjustable Tow Bar, Split Rail is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed I bought the towbar as a last resort to bring my classic 74 Ford bronco to my home. When the guy that I had hired to drive it to my house couldn't do it at the last minute. The trip was almost 500 miles and I dreaded having to pull the bronco all that way with a towbar but I'm glad I did, it saved me money and worked great with no problems. Thanks TSC

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Weak easily bent metal Bought this in a tough situation just hoping it would do the job. To be fair it might tow a small Hyundai or such vehicles but it bends easily towing an average pick up truck. The bolts that had been tightened with great torque just dug into the soft metal and still slipped leaving the towed vehicle in a dangerous sway situation. I would not refer anyone to the bar except in extremely light vehicle applications

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor manufacturers support This tow bar does not come with the safety chains or u-bolt attachments for either vehicle. Finding and buying safety chains is no big deal but I have yet to be able to find the 4- 7/16 grade 2 u-bolts at any store or online. Why didn't they just send them with it or weld the chain attachments on? If you look at the picture you can see where they go. I called customer service and they said that was a different part # 7024800 which includes the chains and u-bolts but I have been unable to find them and could not order it from them. Their technical support number has been disconnected and one of the customer service numbers goes to a travel agency.

Have 1997 Honda CR-V. Is it compatible?

Asked by: Morloft
This part is not vehicle specific you should have no issues with the product. Keep in mind that mounting is up to the installer. We do not provide mounting from the universal bracket to the frame.

Do you need a base plate to use the towbar. Or will it hook up directly to vehicle.

Asked by: Bart55
For this specific model base plate may be required.

How does it hook up i have a jeep with a aftermarket bumper on the front? Does it bold up or does it use pins?

Asked by: Curious cory
For a proper installation bumper attachments should be reinforced as shown in the instruction sheet. Attachments to the towed vehicles should be bolted not welded. Attach tow bar to properly mounted brackets with pins and secure with attached wire.
