The Penn-Plax Reptology Internal Turtle Tank Water Filter helps provide crystal clear water for turtle tanks and terrariums. The turtle tank water filter features two stage filtration with a lower foam and an upper carbon chamber. This water filter is also rated for tanks up to 50 gallons and can be used with or without the 16-1/2 in. spray bar (included).

- A: Howdy neighbor! For the Penn-Plax Reptology Internal Filter, you can simply wash and reuse the foam sponge, but the internal chemical carbon cartridge must be replaced every month. The mechanical sponge should be rinsed out in old tank water to keep beneficial bacteria alive, while the carbon completely loses its odor-absorbing power after about four weeks and requires a fresh swap.3 days agoHelpful?
