Ortho Max Malathion Insect Spray kills mosquitoes, scales, Japanese beetles, whiteflies, red spider mites, spruce mites, tarnished plant bugs, lacebugs, and more (as listed). It can be used outdoors on ornamentals, roses, flowers, shrubs, trees, fruits, citrus and vegetables at the first sign of insect damage. Use an Ortho Dial N Spray applicator or a tank sprayer to apply.

I've been using this for about a year for mealie bugs on ornamentals. Works quite well for scale on my orchids as well, even tho not listed for use on them. Kind of a once and done thing on orchids. Clears up the critters in one application. For orchids, I pour some thru the bark medium.
