Great smoker but needs some re-engineering

The OKJ Bronco is a fantastic unit. Holds heat well for long cook times. Used this to teach my son to cook outdoors. While the smoker is solid the issue that prevents it from 5 stars is the seal/lid gasket has come completely off the lid. Trying to use it with the seal falling out is not easy. I’ve tried to re-install but the staple/wire looking gasket stays don’t stay. At this point it’s just not usable and it’s only 8 months old.

I got this as a birthday present, 7 years ago. I have to confess I was not impress at first, I even got dissapointed, this happend after I assambled the smoker, my concerns was regarding how do I add fuel to the container, if there is no point of access, how long does the fuel last. So before I returned the item, i saw the OKLAHOMA JOE videos, on how to use the smoker, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO DO, TEGARDING ANY GRILL OR SMOKER. I Have been using this smoker 6 years, and the quality of the product its grat, Had no need to change any piece, the air flow and the fuel consuptions its perfect, I can really cook very well with this SMOKER/GRILL, the oly issue was to cook ribs, Because using the hangers, dry iem up. Thank God, there is the BRONCO XL, this resolves every issue, because its bigger and ribs and briskets do fit luing in the grate..
