- A: This trailer swivels/articulates in two ways. First, this cart swivels when dumping so it can be emptied anywhere within a 100 degree radius. Secondly, the loop style hitch fits on to the neck of the hitch ball but then is able to also rotate side to side allowing the cart to go over uneven terrain and function similar to a ball coupler. Additionally, this cart will attach using a standard hitch pin if that is desired and it can switch between the two hitch types without any tools.a year agoHelpful?

This is an outstanding trailer at a great price

I cannot say enough good things about this trailer. I purchased the Ohio Steel Professional Grade 12.5 cu. ft. Swivel Dump Cart about a month ago and like it more and more every time I use it. Whoever designed this trailer has actually used a trailer with an ATV before. With the wheels at a wide stance the trailer is very stable with a full load of wood. I have had it on steep side grades with a full load of wood and I felt very confident with it. The ground clearance is great as I found out while using it going through a rocky creek bed with a full load of wood. The width of the trailer is ideal for my utility ATV going through the woods. You do not have to worry about it catching the bed on trees as I have experienced with other wider trailers. It easily goes were ever you go. I was impressed with the grease fittings on the axels as should help the life of the wheel bearings. I was skeptical at first of the plastic bed but I have found it to be very tough. I could not tell it had a scratch in it after hauling a load of large rocks. One benefit I did not think of with the plastic bed and how quite it is when you are pulling the trailer empty compared to a metal bed. The plastic bed also keeps the trailer very light when you have to move it around by hand or hitch it up to the ATV. I have found the trailer very nice for hauling a chainsaw, fuel and oil and it is much easier than strapping all those things to the racks of the ATV. It will work better for hauling the chainsaw once I make some wooden dividers that fit into the pre-molded slots in the bed. Whoever came up with the trailer hitch is a genius. It is simple to use looks very well made and easily converts between a ball hitch and a pin trailer. I also think this trailer is going to be perfect for hauling mulch and top soil around the yard and will be easier on the back than the wheelbarrow. It is hard to believe but the trailer is actually made in the USA and it is real value for the price. I am confident this trailer will give me years of service and I have not seen any other ATV trailers on the market that compare to it. My opinion is if you are looking for an ATV trailer look no further.

Bought this cart to use to haul manure out of the barn! I will say it saves some work compared to using a wheel barrow. It does handle a full load very well. When it comes to dumping the load it is quite useless, of a full load only about 20% falls out when it is dumped the remainder must be forked out! The swivel tongue serves no useful purpose that I can see, I have to wonder if that will last as long as if the tongue was fixed in a straight position. As a utility trailer to transport cut firewood, tools or garden supplies around the yard, it is a good trailer for the investment. Unfortunately I would not recommend it for use as a dump unit for mulch, soils, manure or gravel unless you are prepare to loading and unload it by hand.

Great wagon, poor dumper

I hate leaving reviews if they aren't great but I am a little disappointed in this cart. I spent the extra money to have the ball hitch option along with the wider tires which I am glad i did. I love the poly bed and everything seems well built, but I am pretty frustrated with the "dumping". No matter what you're dumping or where you are, you will have to shovel, rake, or kick out half of the load. I am highly debating just cutting out the back wall and turning it into a open gate flat bed so that the load actually slides out. Also, the swivel option is completely useless in my opinion if the load doesn't really dump, I think it is just another way to add cost but I would prefer it not swivel at all. Overall it makes a fantastic wagon and has a great capacity for how light it is, but a pretty poor dump cart if that is what you're solely after. I think I'm just going to deal with it because actual dumping dump carts/trailers get very pricey, I was just hoping for more functional dumping.

The best ATV cart out there

I have owned one of these trailers for 15 years. I have used the living daylights out of it and it is still a solid piece of equipment. I made stake sides for it (it has stake pockets) filling it to overflowing with hundreds of pounds of unsplit wood, hauling it out over rough trails and it works perfectly year after year after year. It has plenty of ground clearance and the hubs have proven to be very durable. It is, after 15 years getting some small cracks around the bolts mounting the tub to the frame, but it still hauls the load. I have never seen a better ATV trailer. I really like the dual function hitch setup, but I mostly use the pin hitch. The ball hitch will put wear on the ball over time, but not the hitch. Its only downside is that it won't dump empty. If you load it with gravel or dirt, only about half dumps out, you have to push the rest out. Depending on what you're dumping, sometimes I just goose the throttle and scoot it forward to get more out. Anyway, I think for the money, this is without a doubt, the best ATV cart on the market!

This was a Christmas present for my husband. When I ordered it, it was supposed to be here before Christmas on December 2nd. However it didn’t arrive until December 30th, my only complaint.
