A: This Panel will not charge a dead battery, the battery has to be fully charged before connecting. this is only a battery maintainer,meant to prolong the life of your battery when the battery is in storage or not in use. to actually use the battery on a daily bases or for large bank batteries you would need a bigger solar panel. A: This trickle charger will never over charge your battery and no charge controller is needed, the amount of amps it puts out will trickle charge your fully charged battery only. any time you use a 10W or less of solar panel, no controller will be needed. A: No, the solar panel is a 12v solar panel which is not recommended to charge a 6V battery.

My truck has a battery drain and until I can go through everything I would need to keep it plugged up every night to a charger or need to jump it off with my battery pack. With this it charges enough to not need them .
