Living in a house with nothing but a Heat Pump and being in Maryland is an equation for disaster to hit at some time. I researched and purchased this Mr. Heater 30k BTU Ventless LP heater and we have been very pleased with it. We have been using it to heat out basement apartment of approximatly 1500 sq ft. We have been setting it on #1 the lowest setting and even with -10 Wind Chill outside, it keeps the apartment at 72-76 degrees. It cycles on and off very smoothly with the attached thermostat. We have been averaging one 20 pound LP bottle per week. We are very happy with it.

Heater lights like it should but shuts off for no reason. We have to re light it every 15 to 45 minutes. We made sure there are no fans or drafts near the heater and also cleaned the thermocouple to see if that may be the issue but didn't help.

I gave it a 3 stars because the service from corporate for TSC was a negative 3 at least. I needed it the day I sent in my order as the website said it was available but corporate shipped it. There was other factors on the order too. Tried to contact corporate to cancel and was told I would hear from them in two days. Then told I had to cancel within two hours of being ordered so I left a message on that. Never heard from corporate or anyone from TSC plus tried to overcharge on order but I did get that part stopped at the local store. Have been a loyal customer since 1988 but first time ordering, won't do that again.

Bought this last fall, to heat a shop shed. Only used a handful of times, didn't even use a full tank of propane. Now it won't light. Worse purchase that I have ever made.

The heater will work for a few hours and then at night the heater and pilot light also goes off. I would not recommend this heater to anyone. It’s really a 0 but there was only a 1 and up, but I gave it a 1. Thank God my house also has a fireplace. I think that I should reimbursed. Please don’t buy this heater!!!

This heater has been great. We have 1,200sq/ft to heat. It will heat the house to 70 degrees within an hour. A 20lb propane tank lasts about 36 hours (continuous use). If you kept the house around 65-68 degrees you could stretch the propane tank to about 48hrs. Still cheaper, and heats more than space heaters.
