10 ft Buddy series propane hose assembly connects appliances that are designed to be connected to a 1 lb bottle to 5 to 20 lb tanks. Specially designed material eliminates need for a fuel filter. Great for use with the Big or Tough Buddy heaters to allow larger tanks to be utilized, stretching your time outdoors!

Q: Do you need a regulator with the 10 ft. hose when using a 20 lb. bottle ?

- A: Like other propane devices, propane heaters need a pressure regulator. A propane heater needs a pressure regulator to control the amount of propane flowing into the heater. Without a regulator, too much propane can flow into the heater and cause an explosion.5 years agoHelpful?

- A: This hose is specifically designed for the Big Buddy heater. It has no inline filter. It is made from a hose material that has no oil within which keeps the propane flowing within the heater. If you buy a different hose, you'll need an inline filter and will need to change it to keep the gas flowing.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Will this hose hook directly to a typical 5 gal. Portable propane tank ,, and to my little buddy heater,, with out any additional fittings..

Lasts a lot longer than the 1Lb bottles. It does take a while for the propane to purge the air out of the 10-foot hose. I held the pilot done for minutes and then tried to light. Finally purged the line and it lite.

Hose was perfect but you must be sure you get the right hose with the right connections for the right Buddy Series device as there are several combinations of valves. I got the wrong one the first time and had to return it and order the correct one. Do it right the first time.
