- A: Thank you for your question. We apologize for this oversight on Liberty’s part. The fire rating on 1776 series safes was upgraded from 60 minutes to 75 minutes. This upgrade was what caused this change to the internal measurements, and we failed to update that on Tractor Supplies site. This will soon be corrected. Unfortunately, there’s not much that can be done to correct the issue with the safe you have without major modifications to the interior of the safe. To try and reconcile this issue, please give us a call and we can offer you a free accessory.4 years agoHelpful?

Great purchase! Love the safe! I was nervous about the digital at first, but so thankful I got it. I’m in and out of my safe constantly. Wife loves it too! Lots of room and upgraded fire protection is what sold me.

It’s a great safe. Identical to the Liberty colonial. Only difference is that the colonial has a locking bar at the bottom and the 1776 does not. This safe ships directly from liberty. It never actually hits the tractor supply stores. Mine came dusty as hell for some reason with a small ding on the front edge, and small scuffs on the back but nothing you wouldn’t expect from moving an almost 700lbs gun safe across the country. I was honestly expecting more damage to have been done to it during the shipping process so I’m satisfied. This is probably the best safe this size for your buck. When it arrived, the guy helped me move it inside because I helped him move it up the driveway. If you’re helpful, they might be helpful.

Liberty Colonial at Tractor Supply Value

Great quality safe. Had a few issues. Mainly the door seal not being in the correct spot (1 inch gap at the top of the safe on the right side) Basically a Liberty Colonial without a locking bar on the bottom of the door. Safe came Via XPO logistics. They will only drop it in your driveway. So you will need a moving crew.

Paint scratchex and dented

Recieved the safe from freight delivery to my house. Unboxed it and found a few scratches and a dent with missining paint anbout 2 inches long. Also a paint chip on the turn Iatch. Just cosmetic, but wanted to make it a show piece. All annd all functions as advertised.
