Disappointed with quality control

Quality control is lacking. I bought two buckets and one is perfect-I was able to secure the honey gate with no problem. Unfortunately the second bucket has the hole for the gate cut too close to the bottom of the bucket. I am not able to secure the honey gate by turning the inside piece and when I turn the outside piece the rubber gasket is displaced.
I will be returning one bucket and they are no longer in stock so I am short one bucket this bottling season.
