Two 60V Required

I purchased this late spring. Used it all summer on a yard size of just shy of a half acre. I do not have any hills. I love the wheal size as it moves across the yard with ease. Plenty of power for all types of grass. However, I cannot get more than 20-25 minute runtime. I reported this to Greenworks and they stated the batterie is for UP TO 45 minutes runtime averaging UP TO 1/2 acre. I'm not sure but seems they consider anything between 1-45 minutes within their advertised time limits.
You really need to be prepared to mow when the conditions are best for the mower. This isn't compatible with my schedule or mother nature's. If I let the lawn go a day to 3 past perfect mowing height, the battery will not last. If it's also little damp, three charges may be required.
This mower needs to be sold with at least 2 batteries for lawns up to a half acre.

I ordered online, the Greenworks Pro 60volt 22 inch self propelled mower in early August and it arrived one week later and was ready for pickup at the Baytown, Texas TSP store. I opened the box, charged the battery and started mowing. I've used it twice and WOW , it is great. The yard looks like a golf course with a smooth, even cut. The speed control has a turtle and a rabbit on the lever. You better hang on because this thing will go. I keep the lever in the middle. It goes thru tall grass with ease. When I'm finished , it goes in a storage area standing against the wall and takes up very little room. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Have used this mower twice now having transitioned from gas powered. We have 1/4 of an acre. The marketing blurbs rated it at up to 3/4 of an acre. The battery has 4 bars when fully charged. After cutting my lawn, there is one bar left. Doing the math, I doubt this mower would do 3/4 of an acre. Its ok for my yard (so far) as long as the battery doesn't degenerate quickly. Cut is acceptable. I have it set midway between the turtle and rabbit when cutting my lawn.

I never had an electric mower but when my gas mower stopped working I had to make a decision (gas or electric). I visited the Tractor Supply site and saw a $700 electric push mower on sale for $400. That really got my attention. I started to do a lot of research on the specific mower. I didn’t find one down side. Everyone seemed to like the power, the way it handled; easy storage configuration and the length of time they got from one charge. After that I was all in and ordered the mower. The mower showed in only a few days. The battery only took about half an hour to fully charge. I couldn’t wait to try it out. I’ve only used it three times so for but I know I made the right decision. I love the mower and I’ve already convinced two other neighbors to purchase the same mower. Thanks Tractor Supply

My only quibbles is that the cut is pretty bad and requires multiple passes from different angles, which I do routinely so not a big deal for me. Also, I'd like a 2nd battery but a new OEM cost as much as the mower and I'm afraid an off brand would burn my house down.

A relief after an 11-year-old 40V Kobalt

After a 40V Kobalt that died after 11 years, this one is a whole lot better. It's built like a tank, and the battery lasts a lot longer. Mulching is another new feature with this one, because it has dual blades. Here, in Kentucky, the lawn is thick and must be cut frequently. The battery charger has a fan, so overheating is not a problem. The battery unfortunately has Bluetooth built in that cannot be disabled, but in compensation it's not sensitive to mowing in the 90s in the sun. The shipper was considerate to unload it behind the car, and not next to the road. The box was badly damaged, but there is nothing wrong with the mower.

Decent performance but HEAVY

I wanted a larger mower because my previous one was on the smaller side and it was taking too long to mow my 1/4 acre yard. This one seemed to fit the bill.
The good: mulching performance is good, it's not terribly loud for a large mower, very simple to unbox/assemble, and good battery life (if not using turbo mode.)
The negatives: oh my God it's heavy. 78 lbs! My previous mower was extremely light and I could lift it with one hand. This thing is a beast. It performs well, but it's difficult to maneuver in tight spots due to the weight. This is not the mower to get your elderly dad.
Do not use turbo mode! I can mow my 1/4 acre yard (without turbo) and the battery still has half a charge. I had a few high spots one week so I tried out turbo mode for maybe 1 minute total and the battery was flashing that it was almost dead when I finished the yard. It mows just fine in normal mode.
The control levers feel flimsy and I'm concerned about the long term durability of them. So far so good though.
I also noticed that Greenworks only has this model of fashion "open box" on their website, so it might be discontinued? The replacement blade is also always listed as out of stock. Hopefully I never need one.

This is the second green works mower I have owned. Really like the mower except I think they would have changed the speed control. The control is either slow , just right,fast speed, faster speed, extremely fast speed or ludicrous speed. The control switch has to be in exactly the right position. Anything more than a quarter throttle is way too high. I really like every other feature. Hopefully they will correct this problem.

Great mower with an excellent grass catcher bag

Good power and great grass catcher capacity. I have a 3/4 of an acre in total grass areas, after mowing there is still 25% of battery life left. The grass catcher bag is excellent, it sits flat when connected to the back of mower so it fills to capacity much easier than other mowers I have used. The twin blades make smaller grass clippings. Very easy to adjust the cutting height. I highly recommend this mower.

Recived a used mower and no battery

The Mower is fine. My issue was with Tractor Supply. I ordered this mower and it was shipped to me without a box missing pieces and with no battery. I called customer service and they promptly sent me a new battery. They sent me the wrong battery. I called them again I spoke to customer service and they told me no stores have that battery so they were going to call me when they found one. Over a week later i heard nothing and didn't receive a battery. I called again and they got absolutely no where finding me a battery. After explaining my situation and them somehow finding a battery they wanted my card information I explained to them my situation again and that i never received a battery with the mower. The service rep needed to talk to a supervisor i asked if i could just talk to her supervisor after being put on hold no supervisor was put on she said they are going to send me the battery and it would take about three days. that was a day ago i still do not have a battery but we will see. So between receiving what appears to be a used mower with no battery and not being able to speak with a supervisor I'm taking my business elsewhere for my other tools.

Hesitant to go electric (initially)

My Toro gas mower blew a motor this summer and it wasn't that old. My neighbor saw me with a half cut yard and he let me borrow his new electric mower. I decided it was time. This Greenworks mower has impressed me completely. The build quality is top notch and the battery only went down two bars with my hilly1/3 acre yard. The mulching alone was worth the upgrade.

GW 22" 60V mower

Everything seems to be working pretty good took the blades off and sharpened both of them because they are a two blade kit. I snugged it up and there was a noise coming from the bottom had to loosen it so the sound would go away but other than that everything seems fine.
