I purchased the larger container to primarily change the oil in my diesel truck. It worked well for the application, but the second oil change it started leaking at the seams. I store it on the end empty, and when I picked it up, I noticed oil on the floor. Didn't think much of it assuming I didn't clean up thoroughly. Changed the oil in my truck and put it in the back to take to NAPA and empty it. When I got to NAPA less than 2 miles away, there was a large puddle in the bed. Emptied the container into their barrel and inspected it before putting it back in my truck. Found the wet seams and pressed it with my thumb only to find it split open in more than one location without much effort. This product is junk and didn't even last a year. The company web site lists the warranty as 90 days so I'm stuck with it and disposing of an oily chunk of plastic.

A brand new garage needs brand new tools, but you may want to steer clear of this one. I suggest testing for leaks using water before you get 7 quarts of 5W20 all over your brand new garage floor like I did. It worked great while doing the oil change. Afterwards, I wiped down the oil catch tray and stood it up on its end for storage with 7 quarts of oil in it. Today, 5 days after the oil change, I noticed oil seeping out from under it onto my brand new garage floor. When I picked it up, it was near empty. It appears to be in perfect condition but it leaks at the seam. It has one job and it does not do it. The biggest stain is under the work bench. Lucky me.... I guess?

The overall design is great and it works great for oil change on my F250 but when I put it in the bed of my truck it leaked until I really cranked hard on the cap to tighten. The cap could be improved.

Big, holds a lot of fluid, but is very thick, so it won’t fit in certain circumstances . The slope of the interior is not great and oil ends up standing in the pan and not draining. Some people have commented on the plugs and caps not sealing well, but I didn’t have an issue with that. It worked well when I had to drain the hydrostat on my JD 2305. Overall, pleased with it.
