Rated 1 out of 5 by from Contains Lead I am returning this after reading the tag which states it contains lead and may generate lead dust. I do not wish to store eggs in this basket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from alternative use I probably shouldn't review this as I don't use it for eggs. It seems to be sturdy and well made for it's intended use. I am using these as light bulb covers for my run in sheds. It's been much more satisfactory that anything I have purchased that was "designed" for light bulbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product I ve used this for years every day during the times my chickens are producing. I have never had it chip an egg but my chickens occassionally peck the eggs causing a hole in the shell. you might could deliberately stack the eggs so they would shift but that seems like it would be difficult to make it chip an egg. if you have a problem with thin shells use a better quality feed and supplement with crushed oyster shell. it is annoying that you cant find these at the store or buy online at the moment tho.

I plan to buy a few of these-based on my current egg production, and HOW MANY EGGS CAN THIS BASKET HOLD?
