The DK2 Power 12 in. x 3.5 in. 14 HP Stump Grinder with KOHLER Command PRO CH440 Gas Engine includes a removable tow bar and stand for storage. The DK2 Power 12 in. x 3.5 in. stump grinder is equipped with a KOHLER Command PRO 14HP (429cc) commercial gas engine (CH440). The 3.5 x 12 in. carbide teeth high speed 3600 rpm direct drive cutting wheel produces a 3.5 in. wide cut that destroys stubborn stumps. The extreme 2x2 frame and axle are a reinforced heavy-duty welded steel chassis designed under carriage. This design makes our stump grinder more durable than our leading competitors'. The DK2Power stump grinder comes with dual locking hitch pins for trouble free wheel brakes and transport over rough terrain. The large, oversized 13.75 x 5.25 in. ATV tires help move over uneven terrain to access stumps with ease. And, the comfort bow handle adjusts for stumps up to 12 in. above and 9 in. below ground cutting. Great Machine, does the job, spend a little more and get the self propelled model, it will help you get over the piles of chips it creates or you will have to stop and rake the area flat often. I will buy another of DK2's products in the future.

It does a great job grinding the stumps. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. My only complaint is the directions didn’t give clear instructions on how to hook up the hour meter

Started fine but almost immediately one of the teeth came off and the bolts broke. OK, so I went through and tightened all of them and replaced the two with new 10mm high quality bolts and guess what about twenty minutes later a different tooth and two more broken bolts. I said enough of that and replace those two and added thread locker to the new one and again a little while late guess what, except this time two teeth and four bolts, this time also a broken carbide bit. Not saying its a bad product but at least they should use a better quality bolt and thread locker. If anyone reads this save yourself the hassle and remove them all and add thread locker before doing anything. Oh and btw I was taking it easy and easing it into every cut.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I returned this because it started breaking teeth immediately, the brake on the wheel makes the job unbearable, and there are better less expensive options. I hate to be hard on a product from tractor supply because literally everything else I've bought there has been high quality... but would give this 0 stars if it were an option

I just got this after after several delays from the Idiot shipping company.
Got it uncrated and put together in about 1-1/2 hrs. It was simple and all parts were there and fit.
Fired it up and let fast idle for about an hr to break in engine before using.
THIS UNIT IS A BEAST!!!! It is heavy to hold for this old man, but I would stop for a while and rest. I ground down 2 ea.18" round stump x4" high to ground level and ground 2 others small ones. Took about an hr.
The advise I would give is don't push it and check belts every time you use it. I know the belt guard is a pain but worth the time.
You bought it and you are not renting it, so take your time.

It's a Beast!

Having 40+ pine trees removed, I had the stumps to deal with. After getting bids that were excessive, I looked at renting one. Luckily my neighbor had rented one, and was less than happy. The cutters on it were worn and he was unable to get much done for his days rental. That's why I looked into buying my own. The DK2 had the best reviews, and best price point. I waited until I had removed about 20 to write this review. First, It was easy to assemble, following the provided instructions. Second, This thing is a beast! It goes through stumps, like a kid through candy! The ONLY two things to watch, is to regularly check and tighten the belts, and to check and tighten the bolts holding the cutters. I didn't, and destroyed two belts, and snapped a couple of bolts. I bought two extra belts and a half dozen bolts.

This Beast removes stumps!

I finally used this stump grinder that devours wood like a Beaver. The replaceable cast iron cutting teeth do the job. One of the main reasons this unit is the best in the business is because of the Kohlr Command Pro 14 horsepower engine. i like the belt driven system because they are easy to replace and cheap verses more expensive direct drive products out there. I haven't used the tow bar yet but a great unexpected bonus. DK2 appears to be a Canadian based company that makes the industrial hydraullic power winches sold by Tractor Supply also. The unit shipped from their U.S. Ohio facility to me in a nice crate with awesome assembly instructions..
