Tough as nails

This pump is about 4 years old it has been in a hurricane, flooded, and frozen about five times. The thing still works!
The shed blew down and it floated off in Hurricane Harvey. Tracked it down hooked it up and the thing worked again. It has snowed down here three times since hurricane Harvey and it froze all three times and the thing still works. Going to buy new one and build a new shed over when I get time we have a lot of stuff to fix due to the flooding but this pump still works.

The motor would not start, it just hummed. I had to take all the plumbing apart to look down into the motor shaft. After discovering a small slit in the drive shaft I was able to stick a screwdriver in there and turn the shaft. That freed up the motor and now it works. Quality control at the factory is very poor. I wasted 2 ½ hours of my time fixing your mistake.

Have been using the pump for about two weeks for watering flowers, takes about an hour or so each day. No problems, runs great and pumps water like it should. How long it will last, have no idea. I use flex line for intake and discharge so I always have an easy installation. Just hook up the power and connect the water and pumps, I use back feed from other water supply so, the prime took only a minute or so.

Pump worked great, I pretty much had designed the system as a "plug and play" with the different components ie. , pressure tank, holding tank, filtration and manifold etc. The only problem I had with the pump was do to my own laziness I guess you could say. I wasn't prepared for the weather to change so quick and it froze. However before it froze it worked great

Other reviews were good, but my experience doesn't validate. I bought this pump in March, 23 to water a large garden. In September I went to start it for a fall garden and the impeller had melted. So we used it for a few months. I have it connected to a pressure tank with a regulator so it's not cycling excessively. I can't see anything else that would have caused this. I'm glad others have had good experience and I hope I can find the parts and keep using it.

Bought this pump on emergency basis due to my current jet pump going out on a Saturday. Didn't expect much, as I am involved in the well and pump business, but needed something to keep the ranch in water over the weekend. Removed the cover to change from 120V to 240V and found a simple switch to do so. Really liked that. Went in easy with simple modification to my suction/discharge piping. For a 1/2 horse pump its rocking away. Not too crazy about the plastic impeller. Not sure on longevity of this unit, but it saved the day in our situation. Have since replaced the unit for a 1.5 HP F&W, but am keeping this unit for a back up for next time!
