Q: Is this oil considered same as 4cycle oil and 10w-30 and I’m trying to find out if it works for my mower model 13AO772G055 yard machine riding mower 7speed manual 42” cutting deck has no filter and is a 2000-2008 model please help yard machine 18.5 Briggs

  • A: County Line Lawnmower oil is formulated for use in 4 stroke engines. It is suitable for use in Briggs & Stratton engines.. If you are using the lawn mower in colder temperatures, you may want to use a County Line or Traveller multi viscosity engine oil

Q: is this for a 4 stroke engine? The labeling doesn't indicate it anywhere on the container.

Q: Can this oil be used in a riding mower with a 27 hp kohler engine, thx

  • A: On the Kohler web site. It does show a SAE 30wt is suitable for use when operating the engine between 50 degrees F and 100 degrees F.

Q: Is this just car oil? It says it meet API SN specifications, which indicates it has lower zinc levels Small engine oils usually have increased zinc levels.

  • A: The majority of quality small engine oils meet an API passenger car engine oil specification as they both require similar chemistry to provide optimum engine protection. The statement about small engines requiring increased levels of zinc are off base a bit. New technologies being introduced to small 4 stroke engines are leading to manufacturers recommending use of oils with lower ash levels and zinc directly contributes to ash formation inside a combustion chamber. New anti-wear chemistry to replace zinc are being introduced to this sub market as a result.

Q: is this virgin oil or is it refined?

  • A: All virgin base oils are refined. Refining is what turns the crude into the oil we know. Traveller grease is made with Virgin/refined base oils.
