Q&As

1 - 8 of 8 Questions

Q: Will this pump get all the water out of an above ground pool?

1 Answer
  • A: This pump puts out 6 gallons a minute. Depending on the size of the pool, it could take quite a while. A pool that is 10 feet in diameter and 4 feet tall holds roughly 2350 gallons of water. It would take more than 6 continuous hours of pumping to empty that. The pump should be able to do that, but it is a lot to ask of such a small pump.

Q: What size o rings does this use?

1 Answer
  • A: The item you are asking about is not a standard round cross section oring . I am not able to give you an oring size that we feel will be a good fit. We do sell a repair kit that includes a new oring with it if needed. I'm trying to find the SKU. I will let you know if I am able to locate it.

Q: Can this pump be be plugged in to pressure a shower and sink on demand or does it need constant water flow in order to operate properly?

1 Answer
  • A: The pump is oil filled, which would not allow it to be used for potable water. The answer to self-priming would be yes. Once the water level reaches a certain point 3/8” to ½” it will turn on while plugged in. This pump does require monitoring to turn pump on and off so that it does not run dry and overheat the motor.

Countyline water pump one time use and died!

Stay away from this! Purchased last September to drain granddaughters swimming pool. Worked once (1 Time) then tried to use this spring (May) and was locked up. Has one year warranty but tried taking back to local store and they said couldn’t do anything even though the warranty states that it can be returned to store? So basically I’m stuck with a useless one time use pump! I think I’m finished with Countyline products! Tractor and Supply Co will not stand behind their own brand plus from my experience it’s junk anyway! Would not recommend any Countyline brand product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Loud, short lived pump

Extremely loud, died after a week. Brushes burned up, shaft bearings very rough, pump impeller failed & scored the housing. Never ran it dry, pumping open hose zero lift, @ no back pressure. Got extremely hot, seized, smoked. Dangerous device, NO THERMAL SAFETY fuse, could start a fire if left unattended for any time. Wasted $165 @ TSC on this junk pump. Couldn't have a better pump scenario, zero head/lift, zero pressure, pH neutral filtered water @ room temperature. If it can't handle that, what can it do?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Pump worked great for flooded basement. Took a couple of hours to pump out an inch of water but it did the job, the floor intake pad worked to perfection, I was happy with it.
