Designed with the Carhartt standard rugged durability but made for warmer weather, these Carhartt Men's Canvas Work Shorts keep you comfortable on service calls or while ripping boards. These shorts are made of all-cotton canvas, with reinforced back pockets to prevent blow-out. The work shorts offer our roomiest cut with a generous fit through the seat and thigh. These shorts feature a left-leg hammer loop and ruler pocket as well as a right-leg utility band and tool pocket to keep you prepared on the jobsite.

Just the shorts I was looking for, for work. I can carry my screwdriver, adjustable wrench, and channel locks in the left side tool pocket. I carry my phone in the right side phone pocket. That's about everything I need to do my repair work.
The one drawback is that the waist size runs a little smaller than other brands.

Too Long!

I don't understand why these were ever changed to a 10" inseam in the first place. That's way too long. The last pair I bought I had hemmed, but that was nearly the same cost as the shorts themselves because the seamstress had to shorten one of the pockets too. I'll need to switch to another brand that is more suited for my height. Very disappointed.

Need a selection of inseams for shorts

10 inch inseam is waaaaaaaay to long for me. It's possible you could make these with 8 and 9 inch inseams. Ater all, you make you long pants in multiple inseams.
