JUST BUY IT!!

I researched mowers for 6 months and I went with quality instead of luxury. This mower is a tank. You will have no problem on hills and going around trees and bushes is a breeze. The 19 hp Briggs is plenty of power. Only problem I had was removing it from the steel cage they delivered it in but I would rather have them do that and cut it out of the cage than just have it on a pallet. This mower may not have all the bells and whistles but the way it was built will last a long time.

Decent Mower But Major Design Flaw

Mows Good, but Major Design Flaw. The exhaust deflector on the Briggs & Stratton motor points toward the ground and the exhaust burns/yellows a spot in lawn if mower is stationary for only seconds with the motor running. Contacted Bad Boy mowers and they offered no solution. Bad Boy needs to correct this issue and it will be great mower.

The side chute is flimsy rubber which will tear the first time it strikes something. The larger models have a reinforced chute. Much better! The steering handles need more resistance and/or the ability to adjust them accordingly. High center of gravity makes it unsteady on even modest slopes.

This mower is well made and does everything that I want it to. It is easy to maneuver and cuts beautifully. The mower is heavy duty and works just as wanted. The thicker metal is much better than the previous mower that I had and gives me much more comfort.

It is built to last, minus the under powered engine. 19Hp Briggs is not upto par, it bogs down easily, especially when going up a slight slope. I wish I could return it after only using it for 5hrs. I'd upgrade to a cub cadet.

I used to have a zero turn and went to a riding mower that was 60 inches. Liked that it cut so much at a time, but was a head ache in some spaces. I missed having a zero turn, so got this 42 inch zero turn. Have used it twice and so far loving it. So much easier.

Under-powered, under-equipped and a rough ride
a year ago
I bought this mower after my 42" Husqvarna mower became difficult to service. The Bad Boy was highly recommended by the guy who services my mower and it got very good reviews online. This mower in my opinion is underpowered (19 horsepower just doesn't compare to the power of the Husqvarna and feels very slow-footed). It is also underequipped (no arm rests, no hitch, no way to raise the discharge chute, no hour meter, etc...). I added a hitch and an hour meter that I bought online which works nicely. I tried an "Advanced Chute System" but that was no good either. Ultimately, I used a long bolt on the chute so that it would hinge and connected a bungee cord to it. It's also a much rougher ride compared to the Husqvarna. The seat just doesn't absorb the bumps. The blades are super sharp so it does a nice job cutting. You have to be very careful if the grass is wet because the tires are very knobby and will easily leave divots if you're not careful. I think this could be a much better mower but they cut every cost possible in the making of it. I would not recommend this mower. C'mon Bad Boy... do better!

Wow, the 19 hp Briggs is powerful and runs great, By the time I cut my grass that was taller than my knees because it was not in stock anywhere and had to order. I Cant give any info on reliability because its new but it functions perfectly and the cut is low and even..no brainer get it.The TSC in NPR FL is awesome. corporation on the phone customer service is horrible.

Do better Bad Boy

Thank you to one of the reviewers for explaining the burnt spots on my lawn are from the exhaust. It mows decent and rides nice but every single edge of metal has the paint peeling off. I complained to Bad Boy and they sent me touch up paint. About an ounce lol. Had it for less than a year when this happened. During the second year both front tires went flat. Definitely not worth the price.

Deck belt issues

I’ve heard good things about Bad Boys and I’m sure there bigger decks can handle more dependable mowing. I had an issue with the deck belt coming loose the first month in. I have an acre that I figured a 42inch deck would be able to handle. The mower boggs down very easily even after mowing once a week. This causes the deck belt to come loose and need frequent replacements. You have to constantly clean out the bottom of the deck as it collects too much grass and dirt. Would only recommend this mower to someone that has at the most a quarter of an acre that’s flat.

BEWARE OF THIS LAWNMOWER

Beware, purchased this product in May of 2024, used the lawnmower about six times last year, and two times this year! Second time I used it this year (April 26) was for about 30 minutes. Pulled it up to my shed and then parked it in the shed. Did not notice that the mower was overheated or anything unusual. Left the mower in the shed, and 45 minutes later the Mower had caught on fire and burned up my entire shed and all of the equipment inside. CANNOT recommend this lawnmower in any fashion. PLEASE, PLEASE beware! Since this mower was still under warranty I filed a claim with Bad Boy. They advised me that it was not a warranty issue, and that I would have to deal with the issue through my insurance.

I purchased a Mz rambler 2 years ago and so far so good. The deck is made of thick steel and the quality of the mower is very good in my opinion. The reason I am giving it 4 stars is I have had the deck belt pop off 2 times since I’ve owned it but it was easy to get back on.

This is by far the best mower I have owned. As with everything there are a few things that could be "better." The B&S engine is slightly under-powered and does bog down in very thick grass. It will leave a center tuft of grass where the center blade doesn't seem to cut completely. Overall an excellent purchase.
