The AniMed Anihist-H Horse Allergy Supplement is a natural, herbal-based blend for use in horses suffering from seasonal allergies. Strong smell but works well.

This works well when I can trick my horse into taking it. Unfortunately the smell and taste is difficult to disguise, its very strong. I’ve tried everything a horse likes. It would be great if this came in a tablet form.

Fed this to my mini for itching. Caused him to go into anhidrosis as well as colic episodes. Would not recommend.

Allergy Medication

My horse took a few bites of the feed I mixed the AniMed Anihist-H in and he spit them out and refused to try it again. I crushed some of the treats that he loves and mixed with the med and he took a bite and spit it out. I purchased another allergy med and mixed it with his feed and no problem with him eating his feed. This medication has gotten his allergies totally under control. I can't recommend the AniMed AniHist-H as it was a total waste of money for me.

Last summer was extremely dry so all the horses were coughing. We paired this with cough free and it seemed to do the trick. Really good for horses with an allergy type of situation.

While this does work on my horses allergies it must not like the taste as I have yet to find something to mix it with tried grain and all of the treats she likes but she will refuse any food that this is mixed with.

Breathing Easier

I use this product seasonally for my horses. They start with allergies in August and cough until winter. I have a mare in the barn from Texas. She develops an audible, inspiratory wheeze that can be heard 50 feet away. She cannot stand Ohio's high pollen count. This clears her right up. All of the horses love the taste. It does not smell pallitable to the human nose.

I’ve used this product several times for seasonal allergies and it works great , however i my current horse will not eat it ! I recommend the paste if it’s something they don’t need to be on long term. Don’t throw $35 down the drain if you have a picky horse

Just bought some to try to help with my mares summer itching. Nothing has worked externally. I put about 2 teaspoons in a cup of feed to test her out. It smells strong like too much ginger in it. She sniffed and then ate every bit of it. Licked the bucket clean. I'll review again in a week or two to see if it helps her constant scratching. For now at least I know she will eat it.
