Q: what kind of barbed fittings fit this hose

- A: Hello, thank you for your question. Per the vendor, "This hose has 1-1/2” NPSM threaded male and female fittings attached. If you cut the end fittings off, the hose will accept 1-1/2” barbed fittings (threaded or camlock). Rather than cut the fittings off, they can simply use an adapter if the existing fittings do not work for their application."11 months agoHelpful?

Q: I am using this as a pump discharge hose, both ends are leaking. The leak is between the ID of the hose and the crimped-on hose ends. What can I do to make the hose ends more robust so that they do not leak ? How long are barbs inside of the hose ?

I only needed 6-8 feet of 1-1/2” suction tubing but buying it in bulk (at TSC or any place else), even in smaller quantities, was two to three times as expensive as buying this product and cutting out what I needed - and I still have plenty for another project or as replacement. Cutting the tubing was relatively easy and it serves very well the purpose I intended.

Hose comes with 2 fittings!

Although the photo indicates only one end has a fitting my hose came with both male and female fittings. Note: the fittings are National Pipe Straight Hose Thread (NPSH, NPS) which are not directly compatible with NH/NST threads.

Hard to find 1-1/2" suction hose in stock. One of the local stores showed one in stock but it was the sump pump plastic hose.
