I have had my furbaby on 4 Health Lamb and Rice since I adopted him at 13 weeks, this was 7 years ago. I switched to the Shreds a few months ago to give him some variety. He really likes the Shreds, it gives him extra flavor. I will continue to buy this.

My picky 10 year old border collie/great pyrenees has happily eaten this specific food longer than any other. I have fed 4Health foods to my dogs for over 10 years. Every flavor and type has given good results for my dogs. I have had dogs with terrible allergies, dogs with diabetes, dogs who needed weight management, very senior dogs, and some typical dogs with no health problems. They have all thrived on their particular variety of 4Health food.
The ingredients are good, with the protein being the first ingredient. There is no corn in any of the varieties I have used. The grains are better nutritionally than what is in many similarly priced foods. The included nutritional supplements ensure our dogs' needs are met, i.e. glucosamine for mature adult dogs, taurine added to help keep their hearts healthy.
I have recommended this food to many people because it is a high quality affordable priced food.

We have two English Cream Golden Retrievers that can have sensitive digestive tracts. This is by far the best food we have found for them. I do not worry about the nutrition, as it is stated on the package. They do not have loose stools, nor do they "Trot" or "Prairie Dog". They seem to enjoy it, and it is available in a variety of sizes, convenient for filling the food containers.

While attending the Grand Opening of the local Tractor Supply, I had a large bag of brand name kibble, recommended for allergies, in my cart. A TS employee saw me headed to the checkout and offered me a free 5lb bag of the 4Health Shreds. He explained similarities of the brands and the benefits of the "shreds". I put back the big bag and took the free bag home to try. My dogs love it and seem to be thriving on it! Do your research to see if this might be right for your dog. We're now on auto-ship.

Triggers reflux and digestive issues

We have two golden retrievers who have been on 4Health Lamb and rice for almost 4 years - with zero issues. We wanted to give shreds a try - thinking it would be similar. We were so wrong. Both dogs developed reflux issues within a week of eating it. One was definitely more severe with vomiting and diarrhea. We didn’t think it was the food - but all issues resolved almost immediately when We put them back on regular lamb and rice.
Save your money and stick to regular lamb and rice.

I was a Tractor Supply one day and I told a worker there I had a pitbull with chicken allergies and could he recommend a good product for her skin and itching. He was a blessing! Ever since she has been on 4health Lamb and rice, her itching has stopped and her skin is shinny! I also put my other 3 dogs on it and noticed a change in their coats too. It's a great valve product!
