You can't beat the price for a 45 lb bag of dog food that is a better quality food for my dogs. If I buy cheap dog food, they go thru it quicker & poop more! I pay a bit more for 45 lbs and it lasts longer & keeps them full longer, which means less poop!

Good Alternative for Dogs with Epilepsy.

One of my rotties was diagnosed this spring with idiopathic epilepsy, so I needed to switch him off the Wholesomes brand since it uses peas (legumes) prominently and legumes are one of the foods that are listed as triggers for seizures. Luckily TS stocks 4Health which is a recommended brand for dogs with IE. My only gripe is that it's a 35 lb bag instead of the 40 lb bag I was used to.

At first a few didn't seem to like it but it has gotten better. So I will see how it goes. If I keep it mixed with their other food then they eat it at a 50/50 mixture. From the ingredients I they are good. I guess I just have goofy dogs. Normally they are not picky. But I do recommend this food.

Our Sasha is about 7 years old now and she was getting allergies. The Dog Chow was not giving her the nutrients she needed. She was doing well on Pedigree, but Sams Club quit carrying it, so we had to change and chose Dog Chow. Her coat was itchy and not well looking. She didn't have much energy; just whined like she was in pain and scratched incessantly. She ate it but did not enjoy it. She acted so much older. With the 4 Health and a few months, she started feeling and acting better. 2 years later, she is acting like a puppy again! The price is double what the Dog Chow was, but you get what you pay for...a healthy dog!
