Thread Types and Installation Methods

Zinc plating adds a bonded layer that resists rust, making those bolts the better choice for outdoor fence lines, barn hardware or any installation that sees rain. The coating also reduces friction during installation and handling. For damp environments or year-round weather exposure, hot-dipped galvanized and stainless-steel options carry stronger corrosion resistance.
