PRASCEND® (pergolide tablets) is a prescription treatment for Cushing's disease. It is made by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, a global company focused on developing innovative solutions that support the overall well-being of pets, livestock and horses. PRASCEND® is credited with helping veterinarians and horse owners manage the clinical signs associated with PPID in horses. The medication contains pergolide, a dopamine receptor agonist (a drug that binds to a cell receptor and activates it to produce a biological response), which works to help control the excessive hormone production of Cushing's disease.
