Fill food containers daily with fresh food. Remove any uneaten portions and empty hulls daily from consumed seeds. Keep a fresh supply of water available at all times.
This should help prevent a digestive upset. It is best to acclimate your cockatiel to the new food over a 10-day period.
- The first three days, feed a mixture of 3/4 current food and 1/4 Extreme! Gourmet Cockatiel Food.
- The next three days, feed 1/2 current food and 1/2 of Extreme! Gourmet Cockatiel Food.
- The last three days, feed a mixture of 3/4 Extreme! Gourmet Cockatiel Food and 1/4 of the current diet mixture.
- After 10 days you can supply only Extreme! Gourmet Cockatiel Food to your pet as their main diet.
