These Spindle Clamps are designed to be used around a set of very small spindles by sandwiching around two of the spindles. These solid wood pet gate clamps are oversized, measuring 8 in. wide. They work on spindles from 1 in. to 1-1/2 in. thick that are spaced no further apart than 6-1/2 in., including both spindles. Are your posts larger than this? No problem! You can purchase longer, 1/2 in.-20 hex head bolts at any hardware store to use with these clamps for an expandable pet gate . Crafted from solid poplar, these Cardinal Gates Spindle Clamps have unfinished wood so you may paint or stain them to suit your decor. Typically, two clamps will be needed per side of gate. There is one clamp per pack, and each is sold separately. The Spindle Clamp includes a 1/2 in. shim to accommodate angles or decreasing thickness.
