West Nile-Innovator Vaccine is designed to inoculate horses against West Nile Virus transmitted through infected mosquitos. It's adjuvanted with MetaStim for an improved immune response, stimulating a fast, antigen-specific, cell-mediated and humoral response against the virus. Administer this West Nile vaccine for horses intramuscularly and seek revaccination per your veterinarian's recommendations. It's available in a 1 mL dose.How it Works
West Nile Innovator introduces antigens to the immune system of the horse, protecting them from West Nile Virus infection. West Nile Virus is transmitted through infected mosquitoes.
Special Precautions
- Only approved for veterinary use.
- Preservatives include polymyxin B, neomycin, and thimerosal.
- If an anaphylactoid reaction occurs, epinephrine should be administered.
- Never vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
- Short-term local injection site reaction could occur.
- Entire contents should be used upon opening.
- Shake well.
In case of anaphylactoid reaction, consult your nearest emergency animal clinic.
Side Effects
Impermanent injection site reactions can occur. If the event of an anaphylactoid reaction, an antidote of epinephrine should be administered.
Storage
Avoid freezing. Store in the dark at 35° to 45°F (2° to 7°C).
Tips
Your veterinarian may recommend early re-vaccination if your horse encounters an outbreak or another condition that increases the risk of exposure.

West Nile Virus Vaccine Killed Virus. Contains thimerosal, neomycin, and polymyxin B as preservatives.
Not for oral administration. Inject one 1 mL dose intramuscularly using aseptic technique. Administer a second 1 mL dose 3 to 6 weeks after the first dose. Revaccinate annually with one 1 mL dose.
