This product is a lifesaver. I have very hard water and the ring in the toilet bowls resisted treatment with everything I tried even a pumice stone. I turned the water off to each toilet bowl and squirted the product under the rim and coated the bowl. Let it sit 5 minutes, then scrubbed with the regular toilet brush. Miraculously all super clean. I’m so happy !

This product had no effect on mineral deposits in the bowl. I had far better results with a product named, 'Instant Power Toilet Bowl Restorer', which still wasn't perfect.

We have hard water that tends to stain the toilet bowls, particularly one that is not used very often. I purchased the Zep Acidic Toilet Bowl Cleaner based on the good reviews here and on other sites. 5 minutes was not enough time, and I ended up leaving it in overnight. Took some scrubbing with a pumice stone, but the bowl is now sparkling white. Very pleased with the result.

This is the only thing I could find that would clean hard water build up in both the bowl and evidently the plumbing. I couldn’t get the toilet to flush very well, tried clog busters and everything. I got this after reading some reviews and after following a you tube video I found; the build was gone the next morning and the toilet flushed well.

This gets hard water build up perfectly. My only issue was that even after getting all the water out of the toilet the cleaner could not get the remaining residue at the bottom. But i am overall happy with this cleaner. Has a nice scent too.

This is the only product that can handle hard water build up in my toilets. A store I always shop at used to carry it, but they only sell online from third party supplier who charges more for shipping than the product costs. So I went without for a long while, meanwhile I tried everything else to no avail. So happy I found that Tractor Supply carried it and had FREE shipping!

I have been using a few different products trying to get that shiny new toilet back. The hard water in our area had really left it's mark on our toilets (then the one in my teenager's bathroom didn't get the attention it should). The scrubbing and using the pumice stone was the most hated chore. Zep cut right thru all the scum and hard water stains. If it didn't get it on the first try - it was gone on the second. This was a solution to save time, money, and effort - my toilets are shiny and new looking!

Since the first toilet in the house to get water from the well gets the most staining, it's the most difficult to clean. Acidic Toilet Bowl Cleaner has removed most of the iron stain, it looks good for only a few flushes and then needs cleaned again. I was hoping for a longer lasting cleaning.

Had such high hopes for this cleaner since it said "commercial', but it really has done very little to nothing for the hard water stains around my toilet bowl. The pictures of the toilet badly stained and then spotless are hard to believe, because I can hardly tell any difference with my toilet and it is not nearly as bad as the photo shown!
I will continue to use it in the hopes that it will break down the hard water ring little by little.

OMG! Great for badly "coated" toilet

I had a toilet that would have made some abandoned toilets look sparkling. There was a very bad buildup of waste material in the bowl. The elderly lady in the home could not clean it and it had several years of buildup. While I had to use a whole bottle to get the toilet completely clean, it actually took off quite a bit of material the first round. Everything else I tried wouldn't work, even with scrubbing. This I was able to put on and just flush and chunks of material just came off with flushing. Since the home owner can't scrub the toilet, I'm recommending to her that she use this occasionally just to keep the buildup from occurring. Love the product!
