Use the Y-Tex Gardstar Plus Insecticide Livestock Ear Tag to control horn flies, face flies, Gulf Coast ticks and spinose ear ticks. The insecticide ear tags for livestock are safe for use on beef and dairy cattle, including lactating animals and calves. with a ribbed design, this ear tag fly control provides all-season durability. - A: Hello. Per the vendor: GardStar tags are only intended for application to cattle, and only in their ears. As the manufacturer, we cannot recommend alternate uses, but the customer could check with their vet to see if they could safely use GardStar tags on sheep.2 years agoHelpful?

- A: Hi! Per the vendor: Customers can write on the GardStar tags. However, the insecticide tags have slow-release chemicals impregnated in the plastic that are designed to release off the surface of the tag, so the writing will not last very long because it will be released along with the insecticides.2 years agoHelpful?

Just bought these and can’t say for sure, but a fly just landed on one of these tags and stayed on it for 3 minutes or so. Can’t imagine the pyrethrin on these is very strong…

Less expensive and work better

These are less expensive and work better than other brands. Between the garlic salt and the tags, my cattle have minimal flys. Got first pack at store, ordered others on line and shipped to store.came in quickly to store.
