- A: What you are seeing with the finish being marred by the polybag has to do with our manufacturing process with dipped neoprene product. In the last stage of the process, the boots go through a salt-water bath to rinse the boots and are then dried as best as they can. However, when this is happening in higher humidity conditions, which can occur year round, the “oily feel” will stay with the boots even if they are wiped down at the factory prior to packing in the polybags. After packing and transit across the ocean, the bag will slightly mar the finish of the boot. When the product is pulled out of the bag you can see the transfer from the polybag and the slight issues with the boot surface finish. This will not affect the performance of the boot and will eventually disappear with wear. A mild soap should be okay to use. You want to stay away from using soaps and cleaners with harsh chemicals and detergents. We recommend to just clean and scrub boots with warm water. Let them naturally dry, do not dry or store them in direct sunlight or a heat source. You can also look to use a rubber boot specific cleaner and protective spray.a year ago

Inaccurate Description/Measurements

The description states "Shaft Circumference is 15.5 inches and was taken from a size 9. There may be slight measurement variations based on size." SLIGHT VARIATIONS is not an entire HALF INCH. I ordered these in a size 6, because the brand offers zero tall (or even tall-ish) women's options for athletic calves. These measured 15 inches in circumference, not slight at all. Its sad because 15.5 would have fit PERFECTLY. Not sure why the circumference measurement should change at all with the size of a frigging foot. So much for inclusivity.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Excellent boots for our trip to Alaska. The only downside is we did a bit of bushwacking and these boots are not great in uneven terrain. It's not what they are designed for.
