The WORX 16 in. 40V Cordless Nitro Chainsaw was developed to provide greater performance without all the drawbacks of using a gas-powered tool. 40V of power and a high-efficiency brushless motor combine to spin the high-speed 16 in. chain at up to 59 ft./s., but at a fraction of the cost of operating a gas-powered chain saw over its lifetime. Battery powered chain saws are less expensive to power and maintain, and are cleaner than gas-powered tools. The 1-touch tool-less tension system prevents the chain from overtightening and the automatic chain lubrication feature ensures you'll always have a well-oiled chain which increases the life of both the bar and the chain. The chain pitch is 3/8 in. and this battery powered chain saw weighs only 15.3 lb. with the batteries installed and 12.4 lb. bare. (That's light for a chain saw when compared to older, traditional models.)
