Read thru the reviews. Many stated you almost had to break the gun to remove the cap. Bought anyway and sure enough, the plug looked like it had been covered in locktight. And sure enough, thats because it IS. I re-read the reviews and then studied the instructions (printed on the package - not inserted) and realized the hose does not attach like the picture on the website. See my I picture for easy assembly!
Once you get over this - your golden.

The gun would not pump any grease at all -- I could not get it to prime if that's the right term -- and the external spring mechanism was constricted and had a "catch" in it each time I depressed the handle. Very poor design and even worse quality.

Mini Grease Gun I purchased works like a champ. If it wasn't for Mark at Lacey Tractor Supply, I probably wouldn't have ordered it. Amazing that they didn't have it on hand, but they carried the re-fill tubes. Preplexing. Anyway, Mark agreed to have me order the gun with the assurance that the tubes would fit the gun. Yes, they fit and I use the gun often. Thanks Mark!

Shame on me, the first one failed after a year so I bought a 2nd. the plunger seal on this one leaks grease back out through the plunger.. what a mess. I cant believe I junk twice!
