I’ve been looking for a wood stove for my off grid cabin for a few years now. After reading reviews and finding out that Quadra Fire, Harman and Vermont Casting are the company ( Forged & Flame) it was a no brainer !!! I purchased the FF WP 300 model. It is probably more than I need but it was on sale and I’ve never had an issue at Tractor Supply. I purchased the stove online on Thursday March 19th …. Received it a week later !!!! Very impressed with the overall purchase. I won’t be installing it right away but I will say the stove was shipped with care… stove looks fantastic!!!! I will right another review once it’s installed but wanted to share my experience.

Great wood burning stove

I got this stove for my 1300 sq ft shop with 12-foot ceilings. The shop is only partly insulated, but this stove heats up the space pretty quick. It’s simple to control the heat, which I appreciate. I like that you load the wood front to back because none of it falls against the glass like I’ve had with other stoves. The glass stays pretty clear, even when I turn the air control down, though I still clean it regularly to keep everything running right and avoid buildup. The startup control works well. I can close the door when lighting or adding wood, which feels safer. The stove doesn’t take up much space since the clearance to the wall is tight, so it fits well in my shop. It’s a heavy, well-built stove with thick steel. Overall, I like the stove.

Tiny firebox

I waited a week before reviewing to see if I'd change my mind, I haven't. If you want to put this stove in a living area to watch the flames it's great, what I DON'T like is the size of the firebox! obviously whoever designed this stove doesn't burn wood, it came with a critical firebrick that wouldnt stay in place(I fixed it myself)with that said it's TOO SMALL to put any amount of wood in it and once you get a good bed of coals in it it's nearly impossible to add anything except small pieces that won't burn long, It needs to be AT LEAST 3 inches deeper and wider, I heat my house with this stove in the basement and it not only comes without a blower but with no way to attach one PERIOD! It takes all day to get my house heated without a blower. I guess I'll be rebuilding my old stove and try to sell this one(at a GREAT LOSS) because I don't think TSC will take back a used wood stove! One thing I DO like is it's very fuel efficient and the air system works pretty good but the size of the firebox is a joke! I just got ripped off of 1300 bucks!!
