I am so glad I found this topper. My dogs gobble up their kibbles since adding it to their meal.

What parts of the animal are used in this food? Where are the animals sourced? Are the animals grain free/grass fed, organic? Is the meat antibiotic free? Is there organ meat in this food? Are skin, bones, hoofs, etc used in this food? I need to know!! My dogs love this food.

Hi DaisysMom, for our 95% Beef Mixer & Topper we use striated muscle meat sourced from North America. Our products are natural but not organic. The beef is free of antibiotics at the time of harvest. Your label is very vague. Specifically, what parts of the animal are used? How is it processed? From what source? Any beef byproducts? I can not give an accurate review without knowing what is in the can.

Hi JacksMom, you can find a lot of this information on the back of the can. The ingredients are listed and are: Beef, Water Sufficient For Processing, Natural Flavor, Cassia Gum, Carrageenan. There is a statement that says there are no added: meat-by-products, grain, wheat, corn, soy or artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. The beef used is sourced from North America, and the food is processed in the can as all canned food is. No complete ingredient listing

I know of dog food companies that sell their product with known cancerous ingredients added. I am wondering then why Wellness does not list ALL their ingredients. You say Beef … “and not much else”. What is the Not Much Else that u aren’t listing. I’m afraid of any hidden agendas these days since it came out to the public that the FDA no longer requires food companies to list cancerous ingredients. This was on National News about 2 weeks ago.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Hi Msjam, our 95% Beef recipe is a Topper & Mixer and not a complete meal. It is formulated to be served with a complete kibble in order to add variety to your dog's bowl. It is a meat only topper and does not include other ingredients, or vitamins and minerals as a complete meal would. This would be the reason for the short ingredient list.
